Redefining Accessibility in Education: A Workshop

Zulaikha Goolam

This interactive workshop explores how iPad accessibility features can be a powerful tool for inclusive education and enabling equitable learning opportunities for all learners, including those with visual, hearing, motor, or cognitive difficulties. Using built-in accessibility features such as background sounds, speak screen, guided access and multiple more, we will demonstrate how the iPad empowers learners to overcome barriers and thrive in both mainstream and special education environments.

Participants will gain hands-on experience with accessibility settings, real-world classroom applications, and case studies from our work in inclusive education. Whether you're a teacher, therapist school leader or parent, this session will redefine how technology can support individualised teaching and curate truly accessible learning to realise the potential of each child .
