Joseph Gerassi is the Executive Head of Redhill School and the visionary founder of the Redefine Education Conference. With over three decades of leadership experience in South Africa and abroad, Joseph is renowned for his future-focused, innovation-driven approach to education. He believes that schools must evolve beyond traditional content delivery to empower students with the critical, creative, and adaptive skills required to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
Under his leadership, Redhill School has become a national leader in progressive, holistic education. He has spearheaded the development of a world-class Early Learning Centre (ELC), designed to nurture curiosity, confidence, and foundational 21st-century skills from the earliest years. This vision continues with the soon-to-be-completed Innovation Hub - a space where interdisciplinary thinking, entrepreneurship, and cutting-edge technology converge to prepare students for real-world problem-solving.
Joseph’s educational mantra, Reimagining Education: Empowering African Students for the World, drives his belief in authentic partnerships with the private sector, experiential learning opportunities, and inclusive community engagement. His commitment to redefining education extends to teacher development, with a strong emphasis on digital literacy, AI integration, and pedagogical transformation.
The Redefine Conference was born from this vision - a platform to challenge assumptions, share bold ideas, and reimagine the purpose and practice of schooling in Africa and beyond. Dr Angie Mullins

Dr Angie Mullins is a creative and forward-thinking educator committed to redefining what meaningful education looks like in the 21st Century. She holds a PhD in Future-Focused Education from the Africa Open Institute for Music, Research, and Innovation at Stellenbosch University, and an Instructional Leadership Certificate from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
Currently serving as the Head of Innovative Pedagogy and Professional Development at Redhill School, Dr Mullins leads with a vision rooted in innovation, inclusion, and the development of essential competencies for both students and educators. Her work focuses on equipping learning communities with the tools, mindsets, and strategies necessary to navigate complex, rapidly evolving global contexts.
A passionate collaborator and researcher, her academic and professional interests span curriculum design, instructional leadership, staff development, technology integration, the neuroscience of learning, and inclusive pedagogical practices. Through her leadership at Redhill and her broader advocacy, Dr Mullins continues to inspire and empower educators to embrace transformative, future-ready approaches to teaching and learning.
